NBA Summer League Predictions & Parlay for July 14: AJ Dybantsa Continues to Impress

Six NBA Summer League contests are on the schedule tonight in Las Vegas, and some of the top lottery selections in this year’s draft will be in action — including Washington Wizards No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa, according to Kalshi.

The centerpiece of our NBA Summer League predictions for Tuesday, July 14, is Dybantsa’s showdown against Caleb Wilson and the Chicago Bulls.

NBA Summer League Picks for July 14

Kings Moneyline (-117 at Kalshi)

One thing the Sacramento Kings have made abundantly clear through their Summer League run: No. 7 draft pick Darius Acuff Jr. has the freedom to operate.

With the Arkansas product running the show, Sacramento went 3-0 during Salt Lake City Summer League play, a stretch that included a victory over the Brooklyn Nets in which Acuff dropped 25 points.

The Kings’ backcourt duo of Acuff (78 points across 108 minutes) and Emanuel Sharp (59 points across 109 minutes), combined with the interior force of Maxime Raynaud — who put up 20 points in his first NBA Summer League appearance of the year on Saturday — should present a serious challenge for Brooklyn’s defense.

Sacramento owns a 4-1 overall Summer League record, built on a roster that blends young emerging talent with more experienced rookies.

Wizards Moneyline (-194 at Kalshi)

Sacramento’s only Summer League defeat came at the hands of a Washington Wizards squad headlined by top pick AJ Dybantsa.

Dybantsa has appeared to be the genuine article so far, having taken down both Acuff’s Kings and No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson’s Utah Jazz. Across those two matchups, Dybantsa has compiled 50 points in 50 minutes of action.

The story doesn’t begin and end with him, however. Second-year contributors Will Riley (50 points in 58 minutes) and Tre Johnson (26 points in 28 minutes) have also created headaches for opposing defenses.

The Chicago Bulls, on the other hand, have looked disjointed despite No. 4 pick Caleb Wilson flashing undeniable star-level ability. Even with Wilson producing 54 points across 62 minutes, Chicago sits at 0-2 — a record that includes a 17-point defeat to Utah the previous night.

Lakers Moneyline (+138 at Kalshi)

After stumbling in their opening California Classic contest, the Los Angeles Lakers have since rattled off four consecutive victories, including a perfect 2-0 mark in Las Vegas.

The driving forces behind the “Lake Show” have been first-round rookie Cameron Carr (68 points in 97 minutes) and under-the-radar second-year player Arthur Kaluma (80 points in 92 minutes). Carr’s perimeter shooting ability, paired with Kaluma’s bruising interior game, has given Los Angeles an offense that is difficult to contain.

The Los Angeles Clippers have not displayed the same level of consistency. They connected on just 33% of their field goal attempts in their first Las Vegas game, with top selection Keaton Wagler managing only seven points in 27 minutes.

Although the Clippers did pick up a win over the Jazz in their second outing, they surrendered a 47% three-point shooting performance from Utah in that game. Facing Carr and company, the Clippers’ defensive vulnerabilities could be laid bare.
